Clay Clark joined Cushman & Wakefield / EGS Commercial Real Estate in 2022 and serves as the firm’s Controller. In this role, Clay directs and manages the accounting operations for the firm and also oversees the accounting for our firm’s commercial real estate portfolio of owned and managed assets. Clay is also responsible for company payroll and employee benefits.
Clay brings with him more than nine years of experience in public accounting, serving clients in a variety of industries including construction, manufacturing and real estate. He most recently served as a Manager at BMSS, LLC, one of Alabama’s top five accounting firms, and also served as Manager at Borland Benfield, P.C.
Clay holds a double major from Auburn University, where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Accountancy and Supply Chain Management. In 2015, Clay earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license for the State of Alabama and is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a licensed real estate salesperson for Alabama.
Along with his professional responsibilities, Clay finds time to give back to the Birmingham community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Hand in Paw, Inc., where he serves as Treasurer.
