Completed in August, this bank is the first commercial
development on the Tuscaloosa riverfront that was built to protect the
environment offering a clean environment for workers and creating minimal
disturbances to the surrounding rural area. Built on 7.25 acres (2.9 hectares),
the building blends into its natural surroundings and protects three wetland
areas on-site.
The 110,000-square-foot (10,219-m2) LEED certified building features 4,200
square feet (390 m2) of RHEINZINK America Inc.’s 22-gauge preweathered blue-gray
zinc metalpanels for the walls and roof, in addition to 3,000 square feet (279
m2) of 22-gauge Galvalume sheet metal from Petersen Aluminum Corp. for a
screenwall at the roof.
