The Birmingham News- September 17, 2009
The first commercial development in the Tuscaloosa Riverfront project, the 110,000-square-foot, four-story office building was designed by Birmingham's Giattina Aycock Architecture Studio.
The Bank of Tuscaloosa Plaza was designed by Birmingham's Giattina Aycock Architecture Studio and is managed by Birmingham-based EGS Commercial Real Estate Inc. (Special)
Plus, it's managed by Birmingham's EGS Commercial Real Estate Inc. and marks the firm's expansion into Tuscaloosa.
Giattina Aycock's design is helping the project earn a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The environmental aspects of the project were more critical, given its proximity on 7¼ acres off Jack Warner Parkway next to the Black Warrior River.
The project has been in the works for three years and opens fully leased. Bank of Tuscaloosa is housed on the first floor, the Rosen Harwood law firm on the second floor, the Jaminson Money Farmer accounting firm on the third floor, and Hunt Refining Co. on the fourth floor.
Tuscaloosa's Harrison Construction was general contractor on the project, which was developed by Tuscaloosa Riverfront Development LLC.
