Birmingham’s EGS Commercial Real Estate Inc. announced nearly 100,000 square feet in recent local leasing activity.

Alliant Techsystems Inc. has doubled its space at Cahaba Valley Business Park in Birmingham. The aerospace and defense products supplier renewed its 5,000-square-foot lease in the park and expanded by another 5,000 square feet, said a news release.

EGS represented the landlord in Leggett & Platt’s warehousing expansion in Piedmont, Ala. The company expanded its 200,000-square-foot operation by 60,000 square feet, less than a year after it moved into the space.
